This the main airport for Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. It is the only airport in this province and the most northerly airport in the Philippines. It is popular with tourists from China.

Three operators run domestic services from here - Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines fly to Manila and Sky Pasada fly to Basco. Mandarin Airlines fly to Kaohsiung internationally.
