Located 20km east of the city centre this is the second airport serving Changsha and is mostly used for military flights. However it is the regional hub for China Southern Airlines and flights to most major Chinese cities are offered from here by this airline. Other airlines, Air China, China United Airlines, Hainan Airliens and Shandong Airlines also run flights from here.

Internationally Korean Air and Asiana Airlines operate flights to Seoul.
