Bahrain International Airport

Bahrain International Airport is located in Muharraq, an island on the northern end of Bahrain about 7km northeast of Manama.

A large proportion of the passengers travelling through this airport are expats and Saudis travelling to the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia for the oil industry.

The airport is currently undergoing expansion with improvements to leisure areas, shopping and hotels.

Gulf Air is the major airline operating from here with flights throughout the Middle East, Asia and Europe and flying to over 40 destinations. Bahrain Air fly to a number of Middle Eastern and Asian cities and a number of foreign carriers, from Middle East and Europe also operate services. The only flight to the USa is with United Airlines to Washington.
